‘The right has become a home for comedians … by positing that there are funnier things to do than to argue’ I’m old enough to appreciate how the King of Late Night (and he so remains, in my view), Johnny Carson, not only was funny, but stuck it to both sides of the political aisle equally. It didn’t matter if you were Ronald Reagan or Jimmy Carter — Carson was gonna bust on you.
